whoa...
the sheer power of last night's rehearsal was pretty intense. i was playing through my marshall and dave was playing through my hiwatt. holy crap. i am sore from fighting with the sound. maybe fighting isn't the right word. it wasn't a battle. we were on the same side, but there was exertion involved.
enough about this.

coffee labs and whatnot...
well let's see here...
mr. sean ryan played first, once again. that dude's voice should be illegal. joe and i missed the beginning of his set, as we were at the mexican place next door eating chips and salsa and drinking ONE tecate each. i wanted to move the gig over there, but to no avail. anyway, sean was swell, and he played that tune from that movie ONCE with the dude from the frames in it. that was a nice surprise.
we played second and we played for over an hour. it was a good time. there were some near trainwreck moments, but nothing too terrible, for the most part. songs included:
'67 welcome to the working week don't you think? your own races pinkerton's assorted colours beautiful we're like the sun hazel eyes first of november flesh number one what do you know? poppies pansies and tea mind meld mud blackboard of your mind strawberry smell friday's girl
i'm sure i missed a few, but that was most of them anyway.
i'm sure we'll play there again. it's fun for an acoustic gig.
next gig: saturday march 7th the brighton bar w/ the figgs and kitty & the kowalskis
see you soon.
